Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s Summit County, TEDx Breckenridge brings the spirit of TED to the mountains. This independently organized nonprofit event has been sharing powerful local ideas since its first gathering in 2020.
Held annually at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, the main event draws speakers, performers, and community members for an afternoon of thought-provoking talks. Past themes have included Connection, Integrate, Instinct, and Metamorphosis. The 2026 edition, titled “Kaleidoscope,” is scheduled for October 3 and promises many perspectives coming together into one brilliant pattern.
What makes TEDx Breckenridge special is its deep roots in the mountain community. Speakers have included professional athletes, entrepreneurs, students, artists, and everyday innovators who address topics ranging from mental health and economic diversification to accessibility, play, and human connection. All talks are professionally recorded and later shared on YouTube, allowing ideas born in the Rockies to reach audiences worldwide.
Beyond the main stage, the organization hosts intimate Salon events throughout the year across Summit County. These smaller gatherings create space for deeper conversation and keep the exchange of ideas alive between annual events.
Fully volunteer-led and community-focused, TEDx Breckenridge remains committed to making ideas accessible. Whether you’re a local resident, visitor, or online viewer, it offers a refreshing reminder that some of the most inspiring ideas emerge far from big-city stages—right here in the high country.
