A Ride Through a Snow‑Covered Wonderland

Breckenridge Stables operates custom-built mountain sleighs, drawn by powerful and beautiful Belgian or Percheron draft horses—a highlight for many guests. Wrapped in warm blankets and listening to the gentle ring of sleigh bells, riders glide through crisp mountain air and snow‑lined trails that showcase the sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains.

Sleigh rides are offered on Peak 9 right near the Village at Breckenridge from late November through mid April each year. Scenic routes with elevated views of downtown Breckenridge, the Continental Divide, Mt. Baldy, and the Tenmile Range.

The Sleighs and Seating

Breckenridge Stables uses several types of sleighs to accommodate different group sizes:

  • Larger sleighs seating up to 28 people
